About Me

A long time ago, I earned an undergraduate degree from New York University and spent my 20s working in film and television. My experience as a creative professional informs how I think, listen, and sit with narrative.

Before completing my MSW from California State University Long Beach in 2022, I spent over five years working in mental health with unhoused populations and in substance use treatment. That work that deepened my understanding of resilience, survival, and the systemic forces that shape our inner lives. I hold post-graduate training in psychodynamic and trauma-focused therapy.

I am a Black woman of both African American and Afro-Latina heritage and I draw from lived experience in addition to my clinical training. I am deeply committed to serving the Black community and hold space with particular attunement for those navigating BIPOC, immigrant, and LGBTQIA+ identities.
